How to switch off storage IBM DS ? – Server Fault
Read any additional safety information that comes with your system or optional device before you install the device. If your system has a module containing a lithium battery, replace it only with the same module type made by the same manufacturer. Use safe practices when lifting. The power control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the electrical current supplied to the device.

Refer to the information that is provided with your device for electrical specifications. Ensure that the rack is secured properly to avoid tipping when the server unit is extended. Before you install the DS storage subsystem, create a detailed plan of how the device amnual be used in the storage configuration. The plan should include RAID levels, failover requirements, operating systems that are to be used, and total storage capacity requirements.
