2SD – 2SD part cross-reference datasheet –
I have 2 shorted output transistors, of the 4. The trans are marked DE. The schematic identifies them as 2SDR. 2wd313 is the difference in the “E” and the “R”?
I am slightly confused. Is there a preference or does it not even make a hill of beans.

I have both of them, hell, I probably got more transistors than Mouser right now. They will be calling me for parts.
What is it y’all want to let me do here? Seriously, it would be nice though if Mouser had a cross reference search on their website, at least I thank so.
As always guys, I really appreciate your help, advise and just having someone to bounce things off of. Gawd darn, am I having fun. Bubba57 signing off now. Bubba57Aug 24, The MJEG is a fine replacement.
The suffix generally denotes a gain group, but with an output device in something like theyou just need something reliable and tough. The On-Semi part fills the role well. EchoWarsAug 25, Bubba57Aug 25, The latter is tougher.
Both substitutes must work fine in Pioneer receivers and amps, else Mark would never have listed them, but there are other applications where stability can suffer. I found seven different 2SD datasheets, and not one satasheet an R or P suffix.
It’s not Plastic-isolated package, and it’s not alternate Pinout. I’d love to know, but I’m not holding my breath. GrampaDaveAug 27, Those are many many years old datasheett, probably HAD various classifications back then with the manufacturer Pioneer was sourcing with, now don’t and minimal doc has survived.

You have MANY more data points than me. If they worked for you, that speaks for itself. I’ve only replaced transistors that size in the power supply, not the amp.
In old test equipment power supplies, the pass element was always something slow, but that could just be because the old hometaxial parts had the biggest SOA.
